Established on April 12, 2021, Awakenings provides detailed, high-level instruction that caters to meet the individual needs of students from grades 5-12. Located in Forest Heights, Awakenings is a partnership between two non-profit organizations ran under Dr. Myles Spires—the Dalton Daley Group and The Gospel Revival Church. Dr. Spires is committed to providing education that not only prepares students for college but also puts an emphasis on social outcomes and holistic wellness. Through an attentive curriculum that includes reading comprehension, oratory skills, written communication, math fluency, and more, Awakenings prepares students with the tools necessary for success both academically and far beyond in life.
Understanding that not every student wishes to attend a college or university, Awakenings prepares students with the tools necessary for success both academically and adult life outside of school. Therefore, the advanced curriculum provided by Awakenings drives elevated out of class learning experiences. The school also organizes quality internships as they apply to each individual student.
